After seven weeks at the top, time as come for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to step down from number one and give someone else a turn, and as the first big launch of 2016 lands on shelves, it also lands right at the top.
LEGO Marvel Avengers is clearly no match for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 as it quickly knocks the shooter from the top spot and becomes the eighth different LEGO title to reach the top of the all-formats chart, according to Chart-Track. Interestingly, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, a game not unlike LEGO Marvel Avengers, only managed to debut in second place when it launched in 2013, beaten to the top spot by Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 now sits in second place this week, as not even a 53% spike in sales can hold off The Hulk and the gang.
Elsewhere in the charts there’s not much change with the following five places almost mirroring last weeks charts. It’s only until we get to the eighth position do we see any real change with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain landing back in the top ten, followed by Fallout 4 in ninth place and Resident Evil Origins Collection in tenth.
Other new entries in the charts this week are Final Fantasy Explorers and Christian Loeb Rally Evo which debut in 11th place and 26th place, respectively.
