Earlier this week, Sony announced that they’d closed down Evolution Studios, the developer behind the multiplayer-focused racer, DriveClub, and while it was sad news for the future of the game, it looks as if the development team may stay together.
A number of tweets from ex-Evolution Studios staff have revealed that the team are looking to continue working together. Both game director Paul Rustchynsky and senior community manager Jamie Brayshaw have suggested this:
@HarryBarnes We're hoping to stay together and do something awesome. We're figuring it all out atm.

Today I have been overwhelmed by your comments & support, it means everything to me & team. And don't worry, the future is looking bright…

Evolution Studios had been together for 17 years and were the developers behind a number of racing series, including WRC Rally, MotorStorm, and of course DriveClub and DriveClub Bikes.
Sony did mention in their statement that they’d try to reposition some of the team members “where possible”, so we’re not sure whether these tweets are in reference to those opportunities.
