Approximately two and a bit years ago, Team Meat announced a pretty interesting cat-breeding game. Since then however, we’ve heard nothing about it. Why? Because it’s no longer happening.

Mew-Genics, dubbed a cat lady Sim, had players breeding and collecting cats. It had some pretty interesting mechanics with a total of 12,207,031,250,000,000,000,000 cat combinations. However, its currently on indefinite hold.

“I’m unsure of [Mew-Genics’] future but there is a chance we will attempt to revamp it in a few years with a new design of mine that will push it in a new direction that will hopefully make it more exciting for both of us to work on,” McMillen told Eurogamer when asked about the game’s current status. “But sadly till then it’s not gunna happen.”

It seems now McMillen is busy working on a brand new game which was announced earlier this week, The Legend of Bum-bo, a game which may loosely tie into The Binding of Isaac’s universe.
