Despite the first DLC for Dark Souls launching this fall, From Software won’t be wrapping up the game until 2017, director Hidetaka Miyazaki has revealed.
Bandai Namco already confirmed that the first DLC for Dark Souls 3 won’t be launching until this Fall, and will be the first of two content drops for the game which will be covered by the game’s Season Pass.
Although we don’t know anything about what’s to come in the first DLC release, we now have some idea as to when the game’s story will be complete. Miyazaki confirmed in an interview with Taiwanese website GNN (translated via Google), that “two large sections” are currently in the works at From Software.
“The first chapter [due to release] in the fall of 2016,” he said, adding that “the second chapter in early 2017”.
What we do know for sure, according to Bandai Namco, is that the DLC will include new maps, bosses, enemies, weapons and armour sets.
