Battleborn is almost here, offering a cast of awesome looking characters and some exciting gameplay. To get ready for the open beta developer GearBox Software have released a new trailer and some information.
The open beta is now available to preload and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. There are different file sizes across the platforms however with the PlayStation 4 being 7.6 GB, Xbox hitting 10.6 GB and PC taking the top with 12 GB. The access to the open beta will start today, April 8th, for PlayStation 4 players with the PC and Xbox One to follow on April. 13th. All platforms will then run until the closing date of April 18th, 2016.
With PlayStation 4 getting the exclusive deal this time around players can not only enjoy the early beta access but also additional context first. Battleborn on PlayStation 4 will get the first expansion and ‘Alani’ at launch. PlayStation 4 owners will also get to play as Toby during the beta period.
All platforms will have access to two multiplayer modes and two sections of the game’s story mode during the beta. The Battleborn beta will also include 7 initial characters with the full roster available to unlock during the beta period. To mark the open beta going live Gearbox Software released a new ‘Battleborn Bootcamp’ video to give you the full run down of how to play the game and what to expect during the beta period.
Battleborn is set to release to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 3rd, 2016. The beta goes live today for PlayStation 4 players will Xbox and PC to follow shortly.
