Titan Comics has announced this week that the first issue of Dark Souls, the official comic set in the world of Bandai Namco and From Software’s video game series, completely sold out within its first day of release.
The series, which is set to span over a number of issues, as well as featuring a number of collectible cover variants, is penned by best-selling writer George Mann and illustrated by Alan Quah. It launched on April 20 and quickly flew off shelves.
For those still looking to pick the comic up, Titan Comics has announced that the book will go for its second print and to celebrate will come with a brand new cover by Alan Quah. This second run is set to launch on May 18.
“There’s been huge buzz from Dark Souls fans since Titan announced the comic series, and the sell-out out response on day one has been amazing – so we’re immediately pushing the button on a second printing of the launch issue,” said Direct Sales & Marketing Manager, Ricky Claydon.
Titan Comics anticipate that the second printing will likely run out quickly as quantities are limited so advise readers to pre-order copies today. The second print will be available in comic book stores on May 18. Alternatively readers can order through Diamond’s Preview Plus using the item code MAR168497. Orders are being taken until May 2.
