While the 2016 FIA World Rally Championship is well under way, (come on Meeke!), Bigben Interactive and Kylotonn Racing Games have been busy preparing this year’s entry in the WRC series, WRC 6.

Set to once again become the official video game of the FIA World Rally Championship, WRC 6 will include 14 WRC events, all of the official WRC drivers and teams, as well as a number of WRC 2 and Junior WRC drivers for players to race with.

The game, which builds on the experience in last year’s entry, will throw players back behind the wheel of this year’s selection of vehicles from the DS3, Ford Focus, VW Polo, and more. What’s more, Kylotonn Games have taken the feedback from players and hope to raise the experience on consoles to a new level.

“We spent the last 8 months, since the release of WRC 5, collecting and studying all the feedback from the community to improve the experience and take it to a new level” says Alain Jarniou, Game Director at Kylotonn. “The experience gained from WRC 5 helped the team to completely understand the expectations of racing fans when it comes to rallying. Roads were too wide in WRC 5? They will be narrower and more bumpy in WRC 6. Stages were sometimes too short? We created new longer stages and reworked everything to make them longer and more challenging. These are just a few examples of the massive improvements we are bringing to WRC 6 and we already know that players will definitely appreciate these changes”, concludes Alain Jarniou.

A number of new features will be coming to the game which will be announced in the coming weeks, and will make the most of new development tools which will increase graphics and audio perception for the players. More info is set to arrive at E3 later this year.

WRC 6 will be available this autumn for PlayStation4, Xbox One, and PC/Steam.
