Ahead of the first gameplay reveal of Dishonored 2 at this years E3 there has been some more Dishonored related news.
The news is that both comics and novels are on the way to help flesh out more of the Dishonored world and fill the gap between Dishonored and Dishonored 2. The gap will be explained during a four-part comic series from Titan Comics alongside a trilogy of novels.
Titan, talking on their blog, explained that the comics will feature Corvo seeking an apprentice to continue his legacy. “But when confronted by an impossible face from his past, the supernaturally-gifted assassin finds himself drawn once again into an otherworldly conspiracy, one that threatens to shake the very foundations of his ancient city.”
The comics are being written by Gordon Rennie who’s previous work include 2000 AD. The comics will be illustrated by Andrea Olimpieri and Marcelo Maiolo. Issue one is set to release on August 3, followed by releases on September 7, September 29 and lastly October 19 just ahead of Dishonored 2 release on Novemeber 11. All four issues will be collected into a set which will release just after November 29 should you want them all together.
Meanwhile, the Dishonored novels will debut in September with Adam Christopher’s ‘The Corroded Man, which is said to “bridge the gap” between the two games. The other two books will continue the stories of Emily and Corvo and are set for release in 2017.
It seems that the next year is going to be a good time for Dishonored fans as not only will fy 2 be released but so much extra material to help explore the world and stories of the characters who live there.
