Square Enix has today announced a brand new Final Fantasy experience, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, a game which has been developed specifically for iOS and Android devices and will launch some time this Summer.
Following the launch of a number of classic Final Fantasy games landing on mobile, Square Enix has decided to take it one step further and develop a mobile-first Final Fantasy game.
The game, which has already launched in Japan, has seen more than 6 million players, and has brought an entirely new roleplaying adventure for mobile while still retaining the classic Final Fantasy lore and legendary heroes from the franchise.
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius follows two knights of the kingdom of Grandshelt, and a young girl who suddenly appears before them, as they embark on an adventure to find the highly sought-after crystal.
Featuring traditional turn-based gameplay as well as streamlined battle mechanics and touch controls, the game aims to be pretty easy for newcomers to pick up and play. It’ll also feature high-quality CG animations of Final Fantasy Summons, as well as appearances from characters from past titles like the Warrior of Light, Cecil, Vivi, and Terra.
Square Enix have yet to announce a release date for the game, though it’ll land on mobile this Summer. It’ll also be playable at E3 over at Square Enix’ booth.
