Focus Home Interactive has released some brand new screenshots for their upcoming sequel to Styx: Master of Shadows, Styx: Shards of Darkness, which show off some of the dangers players will face in the new game.
Styx: Shards of Darkness is set to be an even bigger production and will include tons of new features compared to the game’s predecessor, as well as running on Unreal Engine 4. A number of new screenshots have been released to show just how good things are looking, as well as giving us a glimpse at what we’ll be facing in the new game.
It looks like the new game is moving away from the verticality of the last one as Styx heads out to the underground city of Korrangar, a city populated by the new hostile faction, The Dark Elves. These elves have had to live without precious Amber for a number of generations, and now they’re coming out of the shadows thanks to them harnessing the power of Quartz.
To make matters worse, there’s another area to explore, Wildoran, the city of the goblin hunters. This city is populated by heavy armour wearing Dwarves, and its up to you to avoid them at all cost.
Check out the new screenshots below.
