NeatherRealm Studios is apparently working on a sequel to their DC super hero brawler, Injustice: Gods Among Us, according to French gaming website, Gameblog.fr who has heard from sources familiar with the matter.
The sequel, simply titled Injustice: Gods Among Us 2, is in development for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game will be announced soon, according to sources, and is aiming for a March 2017 release.
The developer, nor publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, have commented on today’s rumours, nor have they teased plans for an Injustice sequel. The first game launched in April 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC with a current-gen re-release launching a little while after.
The original game had many familiar faces from the DC Comic Book universe battling it out following Joker launching a nuclear bomb on Metropolis and tricks Superman into killing Lois Lane and his Son. Following these events Superman creates a World Government and begins a dictatorship, from here Batman leads a group of rebel forces and heroes and villains take sides.
The game was pretty successful spawning its own comic book series which is set to end later this year.
