Although the game launched just yesterday, Blizzard has revealed its plans for the future of Overwatch and has detailed its first big update which is set to launch next month.

Game director Jeff Kaplan has revealed that the game’s competitive mode will be launching in June. Ranked Mode was cut from the recent beta and failed to make a return upon release, but through a Facebook Q&A Kaplan revealed that it would be returning real soon.

“Competitive mode is the current focus of the Overwatch team, and it’s the most important thing for us to add to the game right now,” said Kaplan. He didn’t have any specifics, but added that it’d come “sometime towards the end of June.”

In addition to Ranked Mode, a few tweaks will also be coming to the game, Kaplan revealed that the a few tweaks to the frequency of Sudden Death is being looked at, among other things.
