As the Open Beta for Paragon launches on PC and PlayStation 4, Epic Games has unveiled another new hero that’ll enter the battlefield a little after the end of the beta.
Dubbed a “cyborg with serious reach” Riktor is the latest hero to bring his unique blend of attack to the game. Primarily a melee tank, Riktor “specialises in crowd control” according to Epic Games, but don’t be fooled, he’s got a pretty epic reach.
Riktor is a powerful initiator who can lock down player targets and completely pacify enemies. With a Riplash ability, he can reach out with his electric chain and pull enemy heroes and/or minions while dealing damage, perfect for pulling in an opponent who dances around the edge of their tower defences.
His Shock Therapy also disrupts enemies by keeping them quiet, and finally his Skewer Ultimate is as bad ass as it sounds as he unleashes a web of chains to damage and stun everyone in its path. Check out the trailer below to see him in action.
Riktor will be coming free to Paragon on May 31 for those who have entered the Early Access version of the game.
Paragon is available now in paid Early Access for PC and PlayStation 4, though the open beta for both platforms will last all weekend until May 30.
