It looks like Nathan Drake can’t quite cling onto first place for a third week running thanks to the fast-paced and hectic shooter that is Overwatch, which crashes into first place this week.
Blizzard’s highly anticipated shooter, Overwatch, launched globally last Tuesday and has skyrocketed to the top of the charts as it launches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game quickly became Blizzard’s best selling console title here in the UK too, with PS4 stealing the crown with a 47% share of the sales followed by 36% on Xbox One, and 18% on PC, though a fair number of PC sales were likely made directly through Battle.net.
Elsewhere in the charts, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End falls down one place to second, followed by DOOM who also drops a place to third. Homefront: The Revolution is surprisingly holding onto a top 5 spot in fourth place this week.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 climbs to fifth place, followed by Ratched & Clank, who both make the most of Half Term promotions here in the UK. This is also followed by a number of promotions for FIFA 16 and Tom Clancy’s The Division who climb up to seventh and eighth place, respectively.
Total War: Warhammer also lands in ninth place, though seeing as most sales would be digitally, it comes as no surprise that its so low in the charts. Finally, the charts are rounded off with Grand Theft Auto V, which also received some promotions this week, though at this point, pretty much everyone has that game, right?
In terms of other new releases, we see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtkes: Mutants in Manhattan launching in eighteenth place this week.
