Good news Unravel fans, Coldwood Interactive and EA Games have once again forged a partnership for the Sweden-based studio to develop another Unravel game.
EA Games announced the news during its Investors Day, revealing that it had extended the partnership with the Unravel studio. This lead to people wondering whether a sequel was on the cards for EA and Coldwood to which an EA representative confirmed to Polygon that the sequel was the studios “next project”.
“It’s been quite incredible to see the community’s love for Yarny, both in the game and beyond,” said EA EVP Patrick Söderlund in an announcement. “At EA, we love working with creative and passionate development teams, in our own studios and our partners. Which is why I’m very pleased to announce that we’ve signed a new agreement with Coldwood to work with them on their next project.”
The representative didn’t share any more news other than that the company would share more information “when the time is right,” which could be E3 this year, maybe? The game was first unveiled at E3 last year, so maybe it’ll make an appearance once again.
