akiba’s beat

Akiba’s Beat is set to launch on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita later this year in Japan, with a western release also scheduled. But unlike the previous game, Akiba’s Trip, there was no news about a PC release.

That doesn’t mean a PC release wouldn’t happen, in fact it took a little while for Akiba’s Trip to land on PC, and it looks like the same may happen with Akiba’s Beat. Speaking to Destructoid at E3, Acquire’s Kohta Takano revealed that the game demo was currently running on PC, and when asked whether the game would be coming to the platform, he replied “We’re thinking about it.”

He added that the reason the game was running on PC, was purely to demonstrate the game at E3, but right now the game is only set to launch on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

Akiba’s Beat will arrive in Japan this fall, with the western release expected this winter.

So all hope isn’t lost, but if you’re holding out for a PC release, I wouldn’t hold your breath just yet.
