With an already impressive cast, the upcoming Power Rangers movie adds another big name to the list, this time it’s Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston who’ll be playing the role of the floating head, Zordon.
With Elizabeth Banks taking the role of Rita Repulsa, another big name is added to the cast list as Bryan Cranston confirms that he’ll be playing Zordon, the mentor to the Power Rangers who was trapped in a time-warp thousands of years ago by Rita Repulsa. Whether or not Zordon will take up a similar appearance, y’know, as a floating head hologram, remains to be seen, though it wouldn’t be unlikely.
The new Power Rangers reboot features a hefty list of writers, including John Gatins, Burk Sharpless, Matt Sazama, Zack Stentz, Ashley Miller, and Max Landis.
As for the cast, we’ll be seeing Dacre Montgomery as Jason the Red Ranger, RJ Cyler (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) as Billy the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott (The 33) as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Becky G (Empire) as Trini the Yellow Ranger, and Ludi Lin (Monster Hunt) as Zack the Black Ranger.
Power Rangers is due to hit theatres on March 24, 2017.
