This weekend saw the annual fighting tournament, EVO, take place in Las Vagas, and while most were their to watch and compete, Bandai Namco decided to use the opportunity to announce some characters for their upcoming fighter, Tekken 7.
Attendees at EVO 2016 were treated to an announcement by Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada, when he unveiled two characters that’ll be coming to Tekken 7 when it launches next year.
Coming back to the fighter will be Bob (aka Robert Richards), one of the more well rounded fighters in the series. This American fighter specialises in Freestyle Karate and is a pretty strong and fast character. He’s also dressing a little more casual than before with a nice Hawaiian shirt.
As for Master Raven, well technically she’s a new character, but not quite. While the original Raven made his debut in Tekken 5, Master Raven is a little different. First, Master Raven is female, secondly, she specialises in Ninjutsu, with “exceptional power and precision”. It’s not clear whether the two are related.
There’s a handful of other characters confirmed for the game, including Heihachi, Kazuma, King, Paul Phoenix, Nina Williams, Asuka Kazama, to name a few.
Tekken 7 is set to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017.
