The last scheduled patch for the last-gen version of Destiny arrives today marking the last time the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version of the game will be supported by Bungie.
Destiny’s 2.3.1 update arrives today and offers a handful of “emergency fixes for future game-breaking issues.” Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean the end for the last-gen versions, but from now on the game won’t be receiving any additional content, including the upcoming Rise of Iron expansion.
The Rise of Iron expansion was unveiled ahead of E3 2016 and is set to offer a ton of additional content to the game including a new campaign, new missions, new Player versus Environment locations, Player versus Player maps, a new PvP game mode, as well as player gear, weaponry, a new social space, and finally a new raid.
The “legacy” version of the game from August, will also begin to miss out additional content including events which will arrive on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game. This includes Trials of Osiris weekly Crucible event; Iron Banner Crucible event and any Live Events.
You can check out the full changelog for the update over on the game’s website.
