Good news Cosplayers and Cosplay fans, EGX is once again going to be host to the European Cosplay Gathering UK Preliminaries as part of the even’ts “comprehensive cosplay offering.”
Yep, for a second year running, eager Cosplayers can be in with a chance of being whisked away to the Japan Expo in Paris when they take part in this year’s European Cosplay Gathering Preliminaries which will be taking place at EGX on Sunday, September 25.
Following a pretty successful debut, EGX will be the go-to place for Cosplay this year. Those interested in taking part in the ECG Preliminaries will need to have a UK passport and a permanent resident aged 17 and over.
“The best-placed individual and winning group will go on to represent the UK at the ECG finals during Japan Expo in Paris in the summer of 2017,” Said EGX in a press release.
Those interested in entering the ECG UK Preliminaries will be able to register via the EGX website from the July 24.
This year EGX are going BIG with their cosplay support, offering the largest cosplay area in the event’s history with a larger stage build, more audience seating, and a dedicated workshop space featuring talks and demonstrations by cosplay experts. An entire schedule of cosplay events will also be organised by Zonic Productions across all four days of the event, including workshops, competitions, and masquerades.
If that wasn’t all, on Saturday, September 24, the event will also be holding the EGX Cosplay Championship, the UK gaming community’s biggest cosplay contest. A panel of judges will choose the winner who’ll bag themselves some fantastic prizes. More details are set to arrive in due course.
