After a heavy teaser earlier this month which sparked some fan theories, Blizzard has now unveiled the next adventure for their competitive collectable card game, Hearthstone.
The new expansion invites players to One Night in Karzhan next month, and offers them 45 fresh new cards to collect which will be gradually released over the next four weeks as players explore areas of a Karazhan dungeon.
However, this isn’t the same dungeon you’d find in World of Warcraft, oh no, it takes players ahead of that time, as the dungeon’s tower is host to a 70s disco party! So grab your flairs and your over the top novelty afro, because things are about to get funky.
In addition to the 45 new cards, players will be able to dive into a free prologue mission where they’ll play as Medivh, that allows players to get ahead of the game and grab two free cards from the new Adventure. After this, the four wings will roll out for £4.99 or 700 Gold each, though if you’d rather just grab them all, you can purchase them for £13.99 on Android/PC and £14.99 on iPhone/iPad.
Here’s a handful of those cards:
If you purchase the full Adventure during the first week of its release, you’ll also be rewarded with a Karazhan-themed card back.
As for the story in One Night in Karazhan, it’ll revolve around Medivh’s disappearance with players tasked with a quest to find him. As for the cards, they’ll return to the theme of summoning minions and monsters, but will evolve it a little more with new portal spells that’ll do damage as well as summon minions.
One Night in Karazhan is set to begin on August 3.
