Acquire has released two new trailers looking into more detail at some of the characters in their upcoming action RPG, Akiba’s Beat, where players are trapped in a never ending day filled with dungeons to explore, all within the gorgeous setting of Akihabara.
In the game, players will take on the role of NEET (the game’s acronym for a generally lazy video game playing person), Asahi Tachibana as he discovers that he’s stuck in a Sunday that never ends. Asahi and a handful of other characters band together to try and put an end to this never ending Sunday, but it won’t be as easy as it sounds.
Check out the Japanese trailer for Asahi Tachibana below:
Joining Asahi on his adventure is the always-smiling idol Riyu Momose, who also finds herself trapped in the never ending day. She’s always cheerful and loves being an idol bringing happiness to everyone – one of the reasons why she’ll be joining Asahi in saving Akihabara.

Unlike Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undress, this game takes on a more action RPG feel than the previous title. It’ll also have dungeons within Akihabara known as Delusions, which manifest randomly.
Akiba’s Beat is set to launch on PS4 and PS Vita in Japan this fall, with a North American release scheduled later this Winter.
