Earlier this week Blizzard has sent out an invitation to the press which hints that a brand new adventure is coming to Hearthstone next week.
Although the invitation itself doesn’t reveal much, there are a number of clues in the invitation which give some idea as to what the new adventure will involve. The invitation hints at the adventures setting, the classic World of Warcraft dungeon, Karazhan.
Next, there’s mention of an “old friend” and hints at magic and mystery, as well as a handful of feathers dotted around the invitation.
Internet sleuths have sussed out that these hints could point to Medivh coming to the game, who was closely linked with Karazhan.
For those unfamiliar, Karazhan was first introduced in 2007 as part of the Burning Crusade expansion for World of Warcraft. It was the game’s first 10-man raid and was pretty successful.
The latest adventure to hit Hearthstone was the Whispers of the Old Gods, which was more of a general update than a larger expansion. Recently, Blizzard also launched a few new features to the game including the ability to complete quests with friends, as well as earning a new Murloc hero if players referred friends to the game.
All will be revealed when the expansion is announced next week.
