Prison Architect launched out of Early Access in October last year with its 1.0 PC release. Since then, the game has launched on consoles, and was a part of the latest Steam Summer Sale, and now Introversion Software has revealed that the game has sold over 2 million units on PC, Mac, and Linux.
Prison Architect launched on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 last week offering prison building simulation from the comfort of player’s sofas, and while that may seem like the comfier option, it looks like the game is still doing pretty well for itself on PC.
Introversion Software announced this week in a short but sweet press release that Prison Architect across PC, Mac, and Linux has sold over 2 million units, generating a little over $25 million for the UK-based company.
“This amazing milestone comes hot on the heels of our PS4 and Xbox One launches last week and we can’t wait to find out how many console gamers are going to be bitten by the PA bug,” the company wrote in a press release.
A pretty impressive milestone indeed.
