Although PlayStation 4 players have had to wait almost a year for the Tomb Raider sequel, Rise of the Tomb Raider, its looking like Square Enix is making that wait worthwhile.
Sony and Square Enix has announced this week that they’ll chuck in a copy of the remastered version of the 2013 reboot Tomb Raider, absolutely free, with every digital pre-order of Rise of the Tomb Raider via PSN. This will only be available from the store and not third-party retailers.
This additional copy of Tomb Raider will likely sweeten the deal even more as it seems the PlayStation 4 edition will be packed with extra content including a new PlayStation VR compatible chapter.
Square Enix announced earlier this month that Rise of the Tomb Raider would be launching as a 20th Anniversary Celebration edition not only on PlayStation 4, but on Xbox One and PC too. This edition will offer all of the game’s DLC since its launch last year on Xbox One, as well as a brand new chapter, a new co-operative mode, and much more.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20th Anniversary Celebration is out October 11 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
