Capcom has today announced that the recently released Resident Evil 7 teaser, Beginning Hour, which launched during E3 2016 last month, has become the most downloaded single-player demo on the PlayStation 4 in the first seven days of release in the US.
The demo, which can only be downloaded by PlayStation Plus subscribers, has been downloaded over 2 million times across the globe, Capcom has announced. The demo, which launched along side the announcement of Resident Evil 7 biohazard, hopes to give players a glimpse as to what to expect with the upcoming title.
Since the demo’s launch, which acts as a standalone teaser from the main game, has caused many speculations and theories from the brief demo. One of these theories wrap around a dummy finger which can be found in the game, though it may mean absolutely nothing, Capcom hasn’t brushed it off and has teased that there may be more to it than we first thought.
Resident Evil 7: biohazard will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24, 2017.
