With Rocket League celebrating its first birthday this month, Psyonix has a lot to celebrate. Now however there’s some more icing on that cake as the developers have revealed that the game now has 19 million players.
Psyonix announced on Twitter earlier this week that there are now 19 million players virtually kicking balls around with rocket powered cars. This figure is up by 4 million, as in June, the company revealed that the game had sold over 5 million units across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One and had 15 million players.
Congrats everyone! We've officially reached 19 million players for Rocket League! We are humbled by your passion. Thank you!

These numbers are of course separate from the many PlayStation 4 downloads in July last year when the game launched as part of the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection.
To celebrate the game’s first birthday, Psyonix released a bunch of stats which you can check out here.
In other Rocket League news, the developers unveiled a partnership with iam8bit to release the entire soundtrack on coloured vinyl, it comes in two editions, with a Limited Edition version with only 1,000 copies available.
