Don’t Starve is great, but it’s even better when you’re trying not to starve with a friend, so you can imagine my excitement when I finally heard that Klei Entertainment had announced the release date for Don’t Starve Together on PlayStation 4.

Klei Entertainment has announced that Don’t Starve Together will be coming to the PlayStation 4 as part of a Mega Pack. Yep, you heard right, coming to PS4 on October 13, the Don’t Starve Mega Pack will include Don’t Starve Together as well as all previous expansions for Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked and Reign of Giants. It’ll also include the base game for those who missed out on the game coming to PlayStation Plus.

“We loved hearing stories about friends and families finding creative ways to share the controller while playing the original single-player Don’t Starve,” Rollins says. “Now players will be able to survive together on the same couch, and even take their split-screen game online if the want and create or join an existing game to play with others.”

The console version of Don’t Starve Together will feature split-screen co-op both locally and online, and online-only multiplayer for up to six players.

The Mega Pack, for those who already own Don’t Starve, will be much cheaper at $10.97. For those who are yet to own the game, the Mega Pack will set you back $26.99.
