SEGA has revealed that their remake of the classic Megadrive title, Mickey’s Castle of Illusion will be removed from sale at the end of this week. But if you act quick enough, you’ll be able to get the game for Xbox One.
The game is sadly being removed from sale due to licencing likely coming to an end for the title. That being said, it’s not all doom and gloom as those who already own the game will still be able to play it and re-download the game with no issue.
Almost immediately after this announcement, Xbox’s Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hyrb announced that along with the Games with Gold launch of Forza Horizon (which will be backwards compatible on Xbox One) Mickey’s Castle of Illusion will also join the racer, so if you act fast you can purchase the game and play it on your Xbox One too!
Castle of Illusion was remade and re-released in 2013 on a multitude of platforms and brought the 1990 classic to the 21st century. It was definitely a throwback, and just as frustrating as the original.
So if you want a blast from the past, I’d recommend grabbing it before it disappears for good at the end of this week.
