Although Bethesda have only just unveiled information about Nuka World, the final expansion for Fallout 4, characters from the upcoming DLC will be coming early to Fallout Shelter as part of an update that’ll bring new quests and “special visits” from Bottle and Cappy.
For those who don’t know, Bottle and Cappy are the two Nuka-World amusement park mascots that’ll play a part in the upcoming expansion. In Fallout Shelter, players will soon find them making quick visits to their vaults, where they’ll be able to tap on them and earn both Caps and Nuka-Cola.
“To celebrate the launch of the Nuka-World add-on for Fallout 4, all Fallout Shelter players will receive their first Special Event Quest: a Nuka-World-themed mission which, once completed, allows Nuka-World mascots Bottle and Cappy to appear in the Vault,” Bethesda wrote. “Tapping on Bottle and Cappy while they visit will reward players with Caps and Nuka-Cola Quantum.”
In addition to the new special event, players will also find a “ton” of new quests available which will see them sending out dwellers into the wasteland to complete a variety of exploration and combat quests. There’s also new quest types, including weekly ones which begin every Friday, as well as special event (as mentioned above) and holiday quests.
Fallout Shelter’s 1.7 update will also add a load of new objectives for players to complete that’ll give players ways to earn resources.
The update is available right now on mobile and PC.
