While we’re all holding on with bated breath for Nintendo to actually announce their next console, codename NX, the company has revealed that they’ll be holding a Nintendo Direct broadcast on September 1, focusing on the 3DS.
Though it’s not quite a place for an NX announcement, in fact Nintendo specifically said that this won’t be where they’ll announce the new console, the Direct will focus on the future of Nintendo’s 3DS releases.
The event will be held at 3PM UK on September 1, and can be watched online through Nintendo’s own channels.
There’s been no mention of specific games that Nintendo will talk about, but we can likely expect something around the new Pokémon games, Phoenix Wright, Sonic Boom, Yo-Kai Watch 2, Mario Party, and much more.
We’ll of course be around for all of the announcements, so stay tuned for that later this week.
