The sequel to Messhof’s award winning fencing game, Nidhogg, is a thing and it got announced today and I’m just so excited because Nidogg is frickin great and you all need to check it out. Oh my god.
Okay, calm. Messof has today announced the existence of Nidhogg 2, the sequel to the award winning tug-of-war fencing game. It’ll be shown for the first time at TwitchCon, but if you can’t wait, there’s a trailer down below.
Nidhogg 2 will come with “charming visuals” which are a little more detailed that the first, but that doesn’t matter, really. IT’S ANOTHER NIDHOGG GAME. The game is set to arrive on PC and “maybe” other platforms too in 2017.
You can expect 10+ levels to choose from, local and online multiplayer, and tournament mode. There’s also more of the same great single player against AI opponents, with “occasional special challenge rounds”. There’s also a new soundtrack.
If you’re heading to TwitchCon in San Diego from September 30 to October 2, be sure to head on over to the Indie Stage on October 1 at 5:15PM PDT.
For more info, be sure to head on over to the game’s website.
