If you’ve not dipped into the Pokémon anime since the very first generation aired in the nineties, then maybe this is the series for you. It’s called Pokémon Generations and it’s a series of shorts coming directly to YouTube.
The Pokémon Company has announced Pokémon Generations, a new mini-series that’s set to premiere on YouTube this Friday, September 16, at 5pm BST. The series will feature a handful of episodes that are around 3-5 minutes long, that’ll explore all of the different generations of the Pokémon video games as well as the regions they feature.
The first Pokémon game launched in 1996 followed by a TV series in 1997. Since then the series has grown massively with a total of 14 games releasing over the years, and a fifteenth coming later this year with the launch of Pokémon Sun & Moon.
The TV series has also grown, with Indigo League beginning in 1997 followed by a ton of other series’ based on the video game colours and locations.
