CD Projekt RED’s upcoming game, Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development for some time now, and while things have been slow since the developer was busy with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, development is now in full swing. But how much work is really going into the game?
Well, in a post on the studios form, CD Projekt RED discussed the size of the development team, and you’ll be pretty surprised. “There are currently more game developers working on Cyberpunk 2077 than on The Witcher 3 in its most intensive month,” a representative replied, as reported by NeoGAF.
That’s a pretty big team, but comes as no surprise seeing as the developer had more than 60 positions open on its careers website, specifically for Cyberpunk 2077, many of which were focusing on vehicle-based gameplay.
If you’ve yet to really find out what Cyberpunk 2077 is about, it’s a game set within a dystopian future based on the Cyberpunk RPG designed by Mike Pondsmith. Pondsmith will also be partnering with CD Projekt RED for the video game.
As for when we’ll find out more about the game, or when we’ll even get to play the game, we’ve got a wait on our hands as CD PR have previously stated that they won’t be saying much about the game until they have something big to show, and right now the game has a very rough release window of 2017-2021.
