Capcom have debuted a new trailer for Resident Evil 7 at TGS 2016, showing off a great deal of undeniably spooky imagery and a lengthy look at the freaky, Texas Chainsaw Massacre-esque “family” alluded to during the Beginning Hour demo.
Fear not – while the new “Baker” trailer has come direct from the official Japanese Biohazard (Resident Evil) YouTube channel, all the dialogue is in English with Japanese subtitles.
Speaking of the exceedingly popular PS4 exclusive “escape the creepy as hell and probably still inhabited house” demo Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour, Capcom also announced that the demo will be getting a new “Twilight” version going live today that will allow players to explore more of the mysterious derelict mansion.
Capcom also outlined their pre-order strategy for the game – those who pre-order the game will get the “Survival Pack” which includes consumable healing items, an early unlock of the insanely difficult Madhouse mode, and the cryptic Lucky Coin in-game defense item.
The game’s deluxe edition, priced at $89.99 (£69.99?), will include the main game as well as the season pass, which will add three bonus story episodes.
I must admit, I’m liking the first person horror angle the Resident Evil developers have taken here – if the screenshot above is any indication there might be at least a little bit of action squeezed in too.
Resident Evil 7 will be spooking up PS4s, Xbox Ones and PCs everywhere on January 24th, 2017. Take a look at the new TGS 2016 trailer in the video above.
