Skylanders Imaginators is out in the world and for the first time ever players can create their own Skylander to defeat Kaos as he tries to create the most powerful Doomlander. While the creative possibilities are almost endless, there has to be one creative genius out in there who has created the best Skylander of all, and Activision are looking for them.
Activision Publishing has announced a partnership with PopJam to hunt for the UK’s most imaginative child to become the official Skylanders Chief Imagination Officer. Over the next three weeks PopJam will host the competition which will offer one lucky winner and their family a trip to San Francisco, California, to visit the Toys for Bob studio to see how the game is made and how Skylanders are created.
PopJam, for those who don’t know, is SuperAwesome’s kid safe COPPA Certified app that allows users to share art, photos, and more, as well as watch specially selected videos take part in competitions, and more with other “PopJammers”. It’s a great way for kids to experience social networking while keeping parents minds at ease.
So, how exactly do you win? Simple. Get some paper and draw your own Skylander. Kids can also draw inspiration from PopJam’s creative tools to not only visualise but also create their own character in real time. Choosing the winner will be a panel of judges which comprises of YouTube gaming star Stampy Cat, TV and Radio presenter Sara Cox, and Toys for Bob Co-Founder and Studio Head, Paul Reiche.
It definitely looks like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Now, what’s the age limit to enter this again?
Skylanders Imaginators is now available to purchase for Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
