Ahhh, NovaLogic, that’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. NovaLogic‘s Delta Force: Land Warrior was my first real dive into multiplayer gaming and immediately I was hooked. Now, it looks like some new life may be injected into the series as THQ Nordic (formerly Nordic Games) has acquired NovaLogic and all of its franchises.
Today, THQ Nordic has announced that it’s acquired NovaLogic Inc. including the brand and all of its games and/or projects. This is another acquisition of a classic and almost forgotten company which owns some pretty classic IPs including the Delta Force series, Comanche, and Joint Ops.
My love for the Delta Force series will always be strong, and I’m excited to see what, if anything THQ Nordic has planned for the series. The last Delta Force game to be released was Delta Force: Xtreme 2 in 2009. Back in 2008, the company also unveiled a new game Delta Force: Angel Falls, though it seems to have become vaporware ever since.
“After 30 years of creating ground breaking Computer and Video Games we are proud to pass the baton to THQ Nordic. As individuals, they are enthusiastic gamers and as a company have shown the agility and acumen needed to propel our industry towards a much-needed reset”, comments John Garcia, owner, founder and CEO of NovaLogic Inc. “We are happy to see the franchises we created in such capable hands.”
