It comes as little surprise, but EA have knocked themselves off the top spot this week with Battlefield 1. FIFA 17 sat comfortably for the past three weeks on top, but it looks like people’s penchant for a world war shooter has overcome their need to kick balls around a field.
Battlefield 1 has actually done incredibly well for itself since its release last week as it managed to outsell the combined week 1 sales of Battlefield 4 in 2013 and Battlefield: Hardline in 2015. Sales are actually just under the amount generated by The Division’s week one sales.
Elsewhere in the charts it comes as no surprise that FIFA 17 stays strong in second, followed by Mafia III in third place. Gears of War 4 falls two places to fourth.
The second highest new entry this week is Warner’s re-release of Batman: Return to Arkham which bundles all of the Batman Arkham games into one.
Other entries this week include Civilization VI in fifteenth place, and LEGO Harry Potter Collection in nineteenth place.
