Call me stupid, but I’m pretty sure Australia literally never gets snowfall? That’s why I’m damn confused by Microsoft’s latest teaser for the first Forza Horizon 3 expansion which has the series cover car, the Lamborghini Centenario, covered in snow. Though apparently it snows in New Zealand.
I didn’t really excel in Geography at school, I mean, who wants to learn about where countries are? Not me. Though now I regret not knowing something about the land down under.
Anyway, now we’ve all established the fact that I’m an idiot, let’s dive into it. Microsoft posted a lovely long blog post yesterday highlighting some of the content coming to Forza Horizon 3 such as the Alpine Cars Pack which adds seven new cars to the game. You can read more about that here.
In addition, Microsoft also teased the first big expansion coming to the game. Although they revealed very little, they did show off the above screenshot.
Apparently there’s snow in certain parts of New Zealand, so it’d make sense that we’d be travelling to another location down-under. I mean, they’re not exactly going to depart Australia for say, Russia for example, that’d make no sense. Though it’s entirely plausible at this point.
Of course, aside from the new content announcements, Microsoft also took a moment to celebrate that Forza Horizon 3 has become “the year’s best-selling, highest-rated racing game,” though it’s not like it had much competition. That being said, the game is probably one of the best games in the Horizon series.
