Persona 5, previously set for a Valentine’s Day release on February 14th, has been delayed until April 4th.
Atlus annouced via a Twitch steam that sadly the North American and European releases of Persona 5 for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 have been delayed. The reason behind the delay is to provide the best localization that they can for the Western release. Due to the game doing so well in Japan they want to ensure that the increased pressure in the Western market is met and not compromise on the quality.
Thankfully though there is some good news to sit alongside the news of the delay. To make up for the delay Atlus will provide the Japanese voice acting as a free DLC to all in the West on April 4th as a day one download. There will also be a free PlayStation 4 dynamic theme released for only 24 hours on the European PSN store on November 24th. The theme will include animations, custom music, sound effects and icons.
But wait, there’s more! As the final design for the “Take Your Heart” Premium Edition of the game and the Steel Book Launch Edition. These both look stunning and can be seen below.
There was also the release of a new trailer for the game today to help get hype going again for the new release date for Persona 5.
Persona 5 is set to release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on April 4th, 2017.
