King Art Games and artist Jakub Różalski have this week announced a brand new RTS coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Iron Harvest, set in an alternate timeline of 1920+.
It seems in this particular timeline The Great War was fought with giant mecha, and while the war may be over, these mechs become a part of every day life. Unfortunately while the war may be over, conflict is still happening as mighty factions fight for influence, and others are working towards the destabilisation of Europe.
The idea behind Iron Harvest, or at least the setting of 1920+ comes from Polish artist Jakub Różalski who’s earned quite a following with his past artwork. This artwork will of course be present throughout the game too, which is pretty exciting.
“We love games like Company of Heroes or Men at War and want to bring a similar gameplay experience to this fantastic world Jakub created,” Jan Theysen, Project Lead at KING Art Games explains. “You lead hero characters, mechs, and soldiers into epic battles in open sandbox maps. Cover mechanics and dynamic destruction play a major role in combat.”
Currently there’s no release date for the game as it’s still in the very early stages, but it is due for release in 2018. You can check out more as well as some art work over on the game’s website.
