No Man’s Sky might have been one of the most hyped games to fall flat this year, but developer Hello Games has announced a new content update.
Following a long silence since the launch of No Man’s Sky on PlayStation and PC, and a number of interesting news stories, Hello Games have announced new plans for No Man’s Sky. Called the Foundation Update, the patch looks to add a construction element of sorts along with “putting in place a foundation for things to come.”
Though detailed patch notes and a release for said Foundation Update what we know for now is that yes, a base building element of sorts is being added. The post details about how much the team have been working hard on a number of patches that have been released. Though these patches did not add anything major to the game they addressed and fixed a number of common and critical bugs.
“The discussion around No Man’s Sky since release has been intense and dramatic.” The post reads. “We have been quiet, but we are listening and focusing on improving the game that our team loves and feels so passionately about. This update will be the first small step in a longer journey. We hope you can join us.”
Following a number of issues and refunds, developer Hello Games is surely looking to bring some life back to No Man’s Sky. Though there is still no word on if multiplayer will be a feature added in the end they note that the Foundation Update is the start of something new. In our review for of No Man’s Sky we called it “a chill, deep, and enjoyable game, but there’s definitely room for improvement.” Here is hoping the Foundation Update starts those improvements.
“Positive or negative feedback, you have been heard and that will truly help to make this a better game for everyone.” the post by Hello Games also reads.
