Sony are hosting their PlayStation Experience soon and ahead of the event there are reports of a possible leak for Uncharted 4 DLC.
The report points towards some single-player DLC for Uncharted 4 that will focus on Sam Drake rather then Nathan. Naughty Dog, the developer behind Uncharted 4, stated before the game was even released that there would be single player DLC but for now they have no delivered any.
This leaks come from Jaffameister who, according to a Sony insider, has said that the first single player DLC will be revealed during the PlayStation Experience event this December. The DLC has also been in development since the studio wrapped up Uncharted 4 and are now in a position to show it off to the world. As said this leak points towards the DLC focusing on Sam Brake who is the older brother of the series protagoist Nathan Drake and is due out in early 2017.
Interesting points to note include that the DLC will be standalone and will therefore be playable without Uncharted 4. Being a self-contained story it will give players both new and old a chance to experience more of the fantastic Uncharted series in a short burst. The announcement is said to be made up of a gameplay reveal and then some cutscenes to get the hype going. PlayStation Experience is known for some big announcements so let’s see how this goes.
Given that in the past Naughty Dog have created fantastic single player DLC for their other titles such as The Last of Us, It is exciting to think that some Uncharted 4 DLC of the same standard could be coming very soon. Regardless this is a solid confirmation of the news but hopefully it turns out to be true. The wait for PlayStation Experience is not to long though so we should have the answers very soon.
