Pokemon GO Qualtrics

In the past couple of months Pokémon Go has gone from an overnight sensation to last month’s fad. Though there’s still a pretty high user base it hardly compares to what Niantic saw when the game initially launched earlier this year. However, that all might change in the game’s upcoming update.

Following the success of the recent Halloween event, Niantic Labs have announced that a new update for Pokémon Go will reward those who visit the game often. The way they’ll do that is with Daily Bonuses.

In an effort to get players back hunting for virtual Pokémon in the real world, Daily Bonuses will reward players for coming back to the game regularly. Once a day when players catch Pokémon or visit a PokéStop, they’ll receive a bonus, which will increase in value the more regularly they do it:

Catching a Pokémon every day will earn the following bonus:

  • 500 XP
  • 600 Stardust

Catching a Pokémon every day for 7 days straight will earn the following larger bonus:

  • 2,000 XP
  • 2,400 Stardust

Visiting a PokéStop and spinning the Photo Disc every day will earn the following bonus:

  • 500 XP
  • A number of additional items

Visiting a PokéStop every day for 7 days straight will earn the following larger bonus:

  • 2,000 XP
  • A greater number of additional items

Unfortunately Niantic Labs hasn’t detailed exactly when these bonuses will be arriving in the game, but we can expect them to arrive any time soon.

Is this enough to have you coming back to the game, however?
