While many are enjoying the deep freeze in games like Steep, many of us have our sights set on warmer climates, a time where going outside in next to nothing isn’t frowned upon. And that’s exactly why I’m looking forward to Climax Studios upcoming title, Surf World Series.
Yeah that’s right, with Christmas just around the corner Climax Studios thought it’d be a good idea to remind us that Summer really isn’t that far away and announce Surf World Series which is due to land on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2017.
Take to the waves in this arcade-style surfing game which allows players to escape to five different iconic surfing locations such as Hawaii and Portugal, to hang-ten and whatever else surfers do while they’re out in the waves.
Players can not only carve up some sick tubes, but they can also pull of some sweet tricks from kickflips to cutbacks, as well as landing some huge aerials, and other surf terms.
“Surfing is an amazing sport that’s been pretty underrepresented in games for some time, so we wanted to bring surfing fans a fun, arcade-style experience that’s all about mastering waves and racking up huge high scores.” said Simon Gardner, CEO of Climax Studios. “Surf World Series is a celebration of those moments when board and wave work together in perfect harmony.”
