What do you get when you smash together almost every era of Transformers together into one video game? Well, we’re not quite sure but Kabam and Hasbro are hoping it looks something like their new game, Transformers: Forged to Fight.
Announced today, Transformers: Forged to Fight is a brand new upcoming “high-definition” mobile game that’s set to see Transformers from every era of the franchise come together to battle against each other in this action-fighting game. Featuring “more than meets the eye” action, players can engage with Optimus Prime, Megatron and many other popular Autobots and Decepticons. Check out the trailer below.
The game is set to star characters from every era of the franchise history to create the ultimate team of bots, including Autobots and Decepticons from the animated TV series, blockbuster films, the Transformers comic book series, and Hasbro’s own line of iconic figures.
“TRANSFORMERS: Forged to Fight embraces the best that the Transformers brand has to offer, allowing players to collect the most memorable Autobots and Decepticons from every era of the brand’s thirty-plus year history,” said Mark Blecher, Senior Vice President, Digital Gaming and Corporate Development at Hasbro. “We’re excited to work with Kabam to bring this unique mobile game to life, and think fans will be thrilled with the final product.”
The game is set to feature a story that goes “beyond good and evil” with players creating teams of their favourite characters to fight against a world of corrupt Transformers and their overlords. Get ready to forge allegiances, take part in one-on-one battles, experience deep RPG elements, and of course robot to vehicle conversions.
As for a release date and platforms, the game is set to enter a closed beta phase in selected territories ahead of a Spring 2017 release on the App Store and Google Play.
