Just imagine if Captain Marvel, the leader of the Carol Corps was actually an orphan of a nearly extinct race of warriors who just don’t like to wear trousers? Or maybe I’m full of nonsense?

What has prompted me to make this absurd claim? Well did you see the new trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite?

Did you see Marvel’s new lady poster-child glowing and punching people rather hard? Also, did you notice she has blonde hair that sometimes looks very spiked? Who else do we know that can glow, punch people rather hard, and sometimes can have spiky blonde hair?

In case you didn’t know, I’m talking about Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, and Goten, and any other Saiyans I’ve forgotten about. So could Carol Danvers A.K.A. Captain Marvel actually be a Saiyan? Well here’s my askew logic on the subject…

Goku didn’t know he was a Saiyan until he was an adult so it could be entirely logical that Danvers might not actually know she’s a Saiyan either. She can also fire energy blasts, just like most folks in the Dragon Ball Z universe.

If you don’t know, Carol Danvers got her powers from an adventure with the first Captain Marvel, who was a member of the Kree Alien race. Maybe she didn’t get her powers from that adventure, maybe the event just activated her Saiyan abilities?

But where’s Captain Marvel’s tail? A tail wouldn’t work with her snazzy uniform, for obvious reasons. All Saiyans are born with tails so where is it? It’s entirely possible her adoptive parents chopped it off? Or Saiyans work differently on this world.

Of course, Dragon Ball Z is set in a different universe to the main Marvel Universe. Though as we know in a different universe some things stay the same. Some universes have a Spider-man and maybe some universes have a planet Vegeta.

Maybe Marvel’s planet Vegeta is different from the Dragon Ball Z one, you never know.

Maybe Danvers is already Super Saiyan? Like that form of Super Saiyan Gohan and Goku stayed in during their training for the Cell Games? I mean, it wouldn’t be the first time Marvel has awkwardly retconned something or introduced as possible secret origin for a character or some shock revelation.

At one point, writers were trying to imply that Peter Parker was one in a long line of spider beings. J Jonah Jameson was going to have a mental breakdown as well.

So based on what’s going on now it could be likely. They did publish that issue where some Marvel heroes meet the Titans from Attack on Titan, so what’s stopping this from happening? Maybe Marvel are looking to grab some money from the anime and manga market?

Does that mean Nappa will roll up one day? Not likely since my idea probably ignores a lot of previously established continuity in an old volume of a Marvel comic. Though just imagine a “What If” issue about Captain Marvel being a Super Saiyan?
