Nintendo previously announced that it’d be bringing Nintendo-themed attractions to Universal Studios, with a recent announcement confirming that parks in Osaka, Orlando, and Hollyood will eventually be the home to Nintendo areas. However, the company has now confirmed where the first Nintendo-themed land will be, and of course it’s Japan.
Super Nintendo World, as it’ll be called, will be landing in Universal Studios Japan in Osaka. It’ll feature “attractions based on many Nintendo titles,” according to Nintendo, and according to the promotional image, looks to transport visitors to the Mushroom Kingdom.
It’ll include “state of the art” rides, “interactive areas”, shops, and a huge two-level complex which will contain a restaurant, among other things.
The new attraction is set to launch before the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, which is just a short four years away. As for the other attractions, Nintendo is yet to reveal when Orlando and Hollywood would also be getting Nintendo-ified, though I’m sure they’ll follow soon after.
