Amidst various rumors and theories, Microsoft has confirmed that development on Scalebound has ceased.
Originally having been rumored by Liam Robertson on Twitter, various sources then went on to check out Microsoft’s official site only to find that the Scalebound page itself had been removed.
Bad news. I'm hearing that @Scalebound is in trouble, possibly cancelled. Just rumours for now, but we'll see.

Appearing at E3 this year, Scalebound seemed to have been quite far along in development which makes this news even more surprising. While the partnership between Platinum Games and Microsoft would seem to be dissolved now, the company’s partnerships with Sony and Nintendo seem to be intact.
The cancellation of Scalebound is just yet another high-profile game shuttered by Microsoft Studios, after the cancellations of Fable Legends and Phantom Dust prior.
