The Nintendo Switch is set to get some pretty great titles in 2017, with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild probably being the biggest name in the console’s launch lineup and a number of other big titles coming later this year. That said, there was one game announced that you might have missed. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, Focus Home Interactive and GIANTS Software have teamed up to bring a new version of Farming Simulator 17 to the Nintendo Switch.
In addition, the duo also announced that the Farming Simulator experience would be coming to both the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita as Farming Simulator 18, giving portable players access to “a huge selection of over 50 farming vehicles and machines, faithfully recreated from over 30 of the biggest names in the industry, including AGCO’s most respected brands: Challenger, Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra”.

While it’s difficult not to poke a little bit of fun considering the eyebrow-raising nature of a relatively straight-edged simulation title making its way to so many consoles, it’s great to see a game in that particular genre get this much of a (semi-ironic?) following.
Farming Simulator 18 will be coming to PlayStation Vita and the Nintendo 3DS “in 2017”.
More details regarding the release of Farming Simulator 17 for Nintendo Switch are still to come.
